I am sitting on the banks of the river right now enjoying some down time after a pretty upbeat morning. I have been recruited to race in the famous eights race in Prague between all of the Czech clubs on Saturday. It is basically all of the Czech national team rowing for their clubs against each other. I will be rowing seven seat for VK smichov!! I have been accredited as a member of the Czech rowing federation( for free) and so I am eligible! It's hilarious. So we will probably race 2-3 times tomorrow. The course is 2k through Prague with a turn at 500 m. There is no lack of scenery that is fir sure. Yesterday we went out for practice and I had so much fun. One thing is for certain I love throw together eights! I enjoy rowing with new people and just making boats feel good. It was quite an experience rowing while the coxswain was speaking in a different language but it was surprisingly how easy to was to pick up on the calls just by the rythym and tone of her voice. I also must add that the coxswain is beautiful. Haha, so it makes my time in the eight even more enjoyable! I don't get to see her much but I enjoy listening to her speak in Czech! Most of our crew are junior and u23 national teamers with our three seat being Lukas Babac, 2010 lightweight single silver medalist. He is a really nice guy and we will be training together for the next few days in singles, as well. He rows for Slovakia and went to Dowling College. We have enjoyed a pretty relaxed week with a fair amount if rest and food(!) but now we are two weeks away from world cup 2 and it is beginning to hit home that I want to really show up to Hamburg ready to put on a show. There will probably be a bigger field than Munich so it will be a good chance go up against a full world championships field and see how I stack up.

Interesting but disturbing fact from yesterday:
Bill from Coffee shop in Prague( Brian and I): 405 crowns( around 25 dollars)
bill from pizza restaurant last night( Brian, Jon, and I): 400 crowns hahaha

Brian did get like 6 espresso..and yeah we bith had chocolate croissants but STILL!
