It's been about four weeks since the Green Racing Project started formal training. Coach Roock has been easing the group into a slightly more demanding workload, but for the most part it has been pretty relaxed, consistent, and purposeful training. We have a very long term focus and because of that are fortunate to be able to take our time, learn the right way to do things, and get it right. Big changes in this sport do not happen overnight and the great thing is that no one is expecting them to. I definitely expect a lot out of myself, probably because I might recognize more than some of the others the quality of work it takes to do the things we are trying to do. It's been fun nonetheless. Racing the Green Mountain Head this weekend down in Putney, VT--should be a good way to start of the fall racing season!
