Got some easy distance in yesterday morning and afternoon, now onto some final race prep pieces before heading to the other side of the world. We are flying out of Burlington at 5.45 am tomorrow morning, leaving Craftsbury on a van at 2.45 am. Err what!? I am mentally preparing for an incredibly taxing day of traveling. Well, I hope its only a day. We fly burlington to chicago to tokyo to Seoul. Then we have a 2 hr bus ride from Seoul to the race course. I am very excited to meet back up with the team and get to work in Korea. At the same time, its the best time of year in VT right now and I am sad to leave it!
This morning will likely be 2 or 3 min pieces of race rehearsal. Always looking for more speed at our base rhythm. Middle 1k speed will determine if we can hang with the top doubles or not. I am confident in our top end speed, which is a great tool, but we need to be able to have our worst strokes still be pretty fast. That is what we have been working on and will continue to address for the next two weeks leading into our M2x heat at Worlds on Aug 25th.
