Got in to our hotel late last night and were greeted with food and great accommodations. So far, people have been over the top nice to us. I woke up, opened up the shades, and was amazed at what I saw. We are in an incredibly beautiful part of the world. Green mountains, river, and blue skies. We are staying at what seems to be a convention center, but honestly, I don't think there is an equivalent to it in the states. I feel like we are in the future. Very little to zero inconveniences. They seem very concerned with making sure we are enjoying every part of our trip here. I am really excited to see what the course and rowing venue are like.

The toilet may be the highlight so far. It is electronic with many different heating and cleaning settings. Just wonderful!

Ben and I have committed to taking our shoes off before walking in our room and treating it like a shrine. I'll keep you updated on how that goes...

Obviously, we don't know if our boats/oars are here, what condition they are in, how they feel, how the course is, how are bodies feel etc...Lots of unknowns still. But, I am confident in saying that the organizers seem to know what they are doing and that makes us all feel good. As the day goes on, we will more informed about what we need to do in the coming days to prepare for racing. Leaving Vermont, we were prepared for the worst and hoping for the best. On trips like this, the only certainty is  uncertainty and you just need to roll with it and do your best with what is provided. So far so good though.

We leave for the course in a couple hours to hopefully rig and row.
