Here's a little clip of our scrimmage with FIT on Thursday, thanks to Coach Jim Granger. Those guys seem to have a good thing going and we really enjoyed the competition. We will probably piece them again before we leave C54. Also hopefully I can get some video up of our pieces with Georgetown this morning in Sarasota. All the coaches we have gotten in contact with have been very gracious in helping us to get some early season bouts of racing. It's such a tangible difference to be going through the racing ritual and preparing specifically together before its all on the line in late April and mid May. The way the US elite rowing schedule is typically set up to have your first race of the year be the most important race does not seem conducive to crews being truly prepared. It's no mystery why New Zealand is the fastest rowing nation in the world--they race 2ks all year and love it. So, thank you to Coaches Granger, Agnini, Pojednic, and Butt--we really appreciate you letting us match up with your guys and see what we need to improve. There's no doubt we are a faster and more capable crew for having raced you.
